Behind the Scenes | Logo Design
The inspiration to build a brand struck while working on our largest project, Reimagined Fantasy (working title), an attempt to modernize and refresh traditional fantasy. “Reshaped” came from this working title, gaming symbolism, and our brand vision to focus on fresh novelty over claimed innovation. The classic “circle-square-triangle” combo was chosen for its nostalgia and playfulness, aligning with the present ideas of old and new. From there, it was clear that these classic shapes should be represented in a new way. Rather than arranged linear or radially, they were stacked upon each other, to reinforce that what they represent, they represent together.
Symbolism of the Shapes:
-
The Square represents the tabletop surface, as well as the structure from rules that exist in tabletop gaming.
When clear rules are set and fairness is maintained, people feel included and understand how to participate.
We strive to create a culture of belonging on game night. This is the foundation of our Logo.
-
The Triangle symbolizes gameplay, with each point representing a core aspect of storytelling: creativity, conflict, and motion.
A compelling narrative requires a delicate balance of all three. Excess creates noise and overwhelm, whereas a shortage causes stories to lack excitement.
An equilateral triangle was chosen to represent unity between these aspects, and it extends beyond the square because we want our games to feel larger than the table. It also stands upright like a roof—instead of sideways like the play symbol—because it was more important to represent the home players find in their gaming community.
-
The Circle represents community.
Reshaped Gaming aims to bring people together. No game can be played without players, so you and your friends will always be the front and center!
As a result, Reshaped Gaming welcomes constructive criticism and positive feedback. If there’s something we can do better, let us know!
We’ll do our best to… circle back.
