Heyo!
A brief message from our founder…

It’s been a dream of mine to write an original TTRPG rule system ever since my dad introduced me to HeroQuest as a pre-teen. I discovered the creativity and excitement of fantasy gaming quickly, joining him in his interests thereafter as we started checking out the local “Nerd Shop,” as he called it. We tried Warhammer (Tyranids anyone?), played so many of those big-box board games, and eventually found our home in a Pathfinder’s Society group. I fell in love with character creation, combative gameplay, rolling dice, and dipped my toes into roleplaying for the first time outside of the backyard with my sisters.
It was a good time. A great time even. As I look back, I only wish that my parents weren’t so insecure about their interests. They certainly passed on their anxieties. With Pathfinder’s Society on the weekend and multiple home campaigns with my dad’s friends once or twice a week, I spent so much time with these games. It never made sense why my parents told me to hide this side of ourselves and to not talk about it at school, when it took up so much of our home life. I’ve grown up to be so embarrassed of my nerdy interests, even coming to believe that I would be unworthy of love if I were to share these things with my friends or partner.
After my parents divorced in 2014, I was told by my mother to cut all of this out of my life. What a bummer… because I listened. No nerd fun for almost a decade. Why, cruel world?
Thankfully though, I have an incredible partner who changed things for the better on a special Christmas in 2023. I’m an OG fan of Avatar the Last Airbender—as in I’ve even read the comics—so when my partner surprised me with the Avatar Legends roleplaying rulebook… I started bawling. Like… a lot. It felt ridiculous. To be seen like this was beyond my comprehension at the time.
Since then, I have vastly opened up about my nerdy side, working hard so that it may flourish and become evermore comfortable to express. I’m on that journey still, but I’m so happy to be here, and I’m so grateful for everyone who is and will be involved in any capacity.
Back to Christmas, I read the Avatar Legends Book… and hated it. Oof. It makes soo much sense to me why it was crafted the way it was, but guuurl. I wanted to move my bender 5 squares forward and perform a “flying kick-a-pow” on anyone in my way!
So, I took the book and I made a new version, looking for an experience similar to Pathfinder. I had modeled 8 classes and their features, i.e. the Mercenary, Sage, and Acolyte; adapted rules for nations, bending, and backgrounds; and created a Feat and Technique list covering character progression for up to 15 levels. Since then, I’ve been able to run 3 campaigns, hosting around 13 characters in total, making many friends and building so much confidence along the way.
Now that I know what I’m capable of, and how much others believe in my work… Well, I’m ready to get started on that dream from the very beginning of this adventure.
Thank you for joining me on this journey where I am ambitiously choosing myself, my passions, and my creativity. Love yall!
